PeaPod Homes™ maximize nature's forces to reduce the amount of energy consumption required for conditioning the living space. Our unique patent-pending modified double envelope and integrated building system provides an environment with unusually stable temperatures. The southern facade promotes the sun warming the interior in winter. The glass and thermal mass in the home are properly sized and placed to maximize solar gain. During the summer the correct geometry of our overhang prevents the sun's rays from overheating the home.
In all four seasons the stable temperature of the earth buffers the envelope temperature subsequently reducing the energy consumption required to make up the difference between the loop termperature and the desired interior temperature.
